  1. Overview
    This Privacy Policy explains how LisaNorth collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you visit our website (the “Site”) and when you contact us through our forms or communication channels.

This Site is intended for professional maritime use in the context of yacht chandling. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site or submit personal data through our forms.

  1. Personal data we collect
    We may collect the following categories of personal data:

A. Data you provide directly
– Contact details: name, email address, phone/WhatsApp, company/organization, role/title.
– Request details: any information you include in your message or requisition, including (where provided) yacht name, registration number, port of call, ETA, delivery preferences, and item requirements.
– Attachments: files you upload (e.g., PDF, Excel, images, documents). Attachments may contain additional information depending on what you submit.

B. Data collected automatically
– Basic technical data: limited information generated by your device or browser when accessing the Site, such as server logs (e.g., approximate time of access, pages requested, and security-related logs). This data is used for security, troubleshooting, and basic site operation.

Important note about sensitive data:
Please do not include sensitive personal data in your message or attachments unless it is strictly necessary for your request. If you include personal data about third parties (e.g., crew or guest details), you confirm you have the appropriate authorization to share it.

  1. How we use personal data (purposes)
    We use personal data for the following purposes:
    – To respond to inquiries and manage professional communications.
    – To review requisitions and prepare quotations upon request.
    – To support administrative matters, billing/invoice questions, and claims/discrepancies (where applicable).
    – To coordinate operational steps with the points of contact you designate (e.g., shipping agent) when necessary to process a request.
    – To secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Site and prevent misuse.

  2. Lawful grounds / legal basis
    Depending on the context and applicable law, we process personal data based on:
    – your consent (for example, when you submit a form or request information);
    – steps taken at your request prior to entering into a commercial relationship (e.g., quotation preparation);
    – contractual necessity (if and when a commercial relationship exists);
    – compliance with legal obligations (where applicable);
    – our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site and managing professional communications, provided those interests do not override your rights.

  3. Sharing of personal data
    We may share personal data only when necessary for the purposes described above, including with:

A. Service providers (processors)
– Hosting and infrastructure providers used to operate the Site (currently: Hostinger).
– Email and communications providers used to receive and respond to form submissions (currently via email accounts accessed through an email client; we may migrate to a managed email service in the future).
– Security, maintenance, and technical support providers where needed to operate the Site.

B. Business recipients (only when needed)
– Parties you designate for coordination (for example, your shipping agent or operator contact), where sharing is needed to process your request.

C. Legal and compliance
– Authorities or legal advisors where disclosure is required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request.

We do not sell personal data.

  1. International transfers
    Because our service providers (including hosting) may use infrastructure or sub-processors in different jurisdictions, personal data may be processed outside Panama depending on the services used. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use providers that offer contractual and technical safeguards.

  2. Data retention
    We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

As a baseline operational standard:
– General inquiries and administrative messages: up to 12 months.
– Requisitions, quotations, and related attachments: up to 24 months.
– If a commercial relationship is established, we may retain relevant records for the duration of the relationship and for additional periods as required for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Retention periods may be adjusted when required by applicable law or where necessary to protect legitimate interests (e.g., handling claims or maintaining audit trails).

  1. Your rights
    Subject to applicable law, you may have rights such as:
    – Access: request access to your personal data and information about its use.
    – Rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
    – Cancellation/Deletion: request deletion of data when applicable.
    – Opposition: object to certain processing and/or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
    – Portability: request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format (where applicable).

To exercise your rights, contact us at: privacy@lisanorth.com
We may request reasonable verification to protect against unauthorized access or disclosure.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may also contact the relevant authority in Panama, such as the National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI).

  1. Security
    We apply technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure; however, we work to maintain appropriate safeguards for the nature of the data processed.

  2. Children
    This Site is intended for professional maritime use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

  3. Changes to this Policy
    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
